Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has issued a strong warning against any potential military misadventure by India, vowing that Pakistan’s armed forces would deliver a “swift and decisive” response to any provocation.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief made the remarks during a visit to the Tilla Field Firing Ranges, where he observed “Hammer Strike” field exercises conducted by the Mangla Strike Corps.
Addressing officers and troops on site, General Munir reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Armed Forces to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs. He praised the morale, professionalism, and combat readiness of the soldiers, describing their dedication as the cornerstone of the Army’s operational strength.
“Pakistan remains committed to regional peace,” the Army Chief stated. “However, any military misadventure by India will be met with an immediate and forceful response.”
He further emphasized that the country’s preparedness and resolve to safeguard national interests are absolute and non-negotiable. General Munir lauded the operational capabilities demonstrated during the exercises, underlining their importance in maintaining a high state of readiness.
This statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region following the Pahalgam incident, with Pakistan reiterating its calls for responsible dialogue while maintaining full military vigilance.
