Celebrities Condemn Kolkata Rape-Murder Case, Demand Justice

The recent Kolkata rape-murder case has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation from celebrities, with Karan Johar and Anupam Kher being the latest to express their shock and disgust.

Karan Johar took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note, calling the case a “biggest human failure to protect women.” He emphasized that the incident highlights the irony of celebrating Independence when women are still not free in a free nation. Johar urged authorities to take severe action, warning that failure to do so will have “karmic repercussions.”

Anupam Kher, on the other hand, demanded the “death penalty” for the perpetrators, stating that it’s essential to send a strong message to deter such heinous crimes.

Their reactions come after several other celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Swara Bhasker, condemned the incident and demanded justice for the victim.
