Renowned Pakistani actor Faizal Qureshi has strongly criticized Indian celebrities for celebrating attacks on Pakistan, calling it an “insensitive and cowardly” act.
In a video statement, Qureshi expressed his shock and grief over the tragic death of a child during India’s recent attacks, describing it as a heartbreaking incident. He condemned the celebration of any human tragedy, calling it shameful.
Addressing the situation in Pahalgam, Qureshi stated that although the events there have yet to be proven, the actions of the attackers were witnessed by the entire world. He questioned the so-called victory of India, pointing out that their planes were shot down and an innocent child was killed — a loss that deeply saddened Pakistanis.
Qureshi further directed his remarks at Indian celebrities, emphasizing that for Muslims, martyrdom holds great honor, but the actions of Indian forces have led to the killing of an innocent child. He also highlighted the difference in freedom of expression, claiming that while Pakistanis enjoy the right to voice their opinions, Indian celebrities are forced to support the state narrative under pressure.
Qureshi’s comments reflect the growing tension between the two countries, especially in the wake of recent events that have sparked outrage and condemnation from various quarters.
