Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has accused India of deflecting attention from its internal issues by placing blame on Pakistan, particularly in the wake of terrorist incidents. In an interview with international media, Bilawal stated that Pakistan remains committed to the eradication of terrorism—not only within its own borders but across the entire South Asian region.
“It is easier for India to point fingers at Pakistan than to confront the serious domestic challenges it faces,” Bilawal said. He emphasized that Pakistan has made several attempts to initiate dialogue, but India has consistently refused to engage.
The former foreign minister condemned India’s actions in Indian-administered Kashmir, calling them deeply concerning. “What is happening in Kashmir amounts to collective punishment of innocent civilians,” he said, referring to reports of home demolitions and widespread repression of the Kashmiri population.
Bilawal added that every time there is a terrorist attack in India or Indian-administered Kashmir, the Indian government responds with immediate accusations against Pakistan and often follows up with aggressive actions. “This pattern of behavior only exacerbates regional tensions,” he warned.
He also highlighted that Pakistan has no physical access to Indian-administered Kashmir—described as one of the most heavily militarized zones in the world—but is still open to participating in any impartial international investigation to uncover the truth.
“Despite limited access, Pakistan has extended offers for neutral probes into incidents, because we believe the truth should prevail,” Bilawal asserted, underlining Islamabad’s calls for transparency and accountability.
