The Indian staff working with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) broadcast company has been sent back to India.
According to sources, the Punjab Police confirmed that 23 Indian nationals associated with the broadcast company were sent back to India. The staff members were escorted to India via the Wagah Border.
The government had issued immediate instructions for the Indian nationals to leave Pakistan.
This development comes two days after a deadly shooting incident in the tourist town of Pahalgam, located in occupied Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people.
Following the Pahalgam attack, the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rajiv Shukla, announced that India would not engage in any future bilateral cricket series with Pakistan.
