Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has said that the federal government is providing all kinds of support to the Balochistan government to restore peace in the province.
The minister, who is in touch with the Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and is regularly receiving updates from him on the operation launched to free Jaffar Express passengers taken hostage by Baloch terrorists, while expressing deep grief and shock over the incident has said that the Center will continue to provide support to the provincial government in this regard.
“The chief minister is a brave man. And together we will eliminate the terrorists,” he has said, adding, “The government is ready to go to any extent to flush out these anti-state people.”
The minister has said that the country’s enemies are trying to destabilize it through their cowardly acts.
Naqvi and Bugti have also lauded the security forces for succeeding in securing the release of over 100 passengers and killing more than 16 terrorists.
They have prayed to the Almighty Allah for the speedy recovery of the injured.
State minister lashes out at PTI
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has hit out at the PTI for holding the Pakistan Army responsible for the incident, saying it is shameful and unacceptable.
In a tweet, he has said this amounts to a propaganda against those security forces’ personnel who are giving a tough time to the terrorists. “This is not politics. It is an all-out war against those who are laying down their lives in the defence of the country.”.
