Islamabad (The COW News Digital)Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has warned India over alleged preparations for a false flag operation, stating that any such attempt would be met with a strong response from Pakistan.

Speaking in a recent statement, the defence minister claimed that India is planning a staged incident aimed at creating regional instability. He cautioned that if any such move is carried out, Pakistan would respond firmly and decisively.

Khawaja Asif remarked that Pakistan’s response would not be limited in scope, using strong language to emphasize the country’s defensive posture. He stated that any aggression or “drama,” as he described it, would be countered in a manner that would extend “as far as Kolkata,” reflecting the intensity of Pakistan’s stance.

The minister stressed that peace in the region is essential and urged all neighboring countries to maintain unity and cooperation. He said that stability in South Asia depends on mutual understanding and responsible conduct by all parties involved.

He further claimed that Pakistan’s armed forces have previously demonstrated their capability and resilience in the face of conflict, asserting that the country has delivered strong responses in past military confrontations.

Despite the sharp tone of his remarks, Khawaja Asif also emphasized the importance of peace and diplomacy. He stated that Pakistan continues to play a significant role in maintaining regional stability and hopes that countries in the region act with wisdom and restraint.

The defence minister appealed for prayers for peace and harmony in the region, highlighting that positive relations among neighboring states are vital for economic and political progress.

His comments come amid ongoing tensions in South Asia, where periodic exchanges of hostile rhetoric between rival states have raised concerns among international observers. Analysts note that such statements often reflect heightened political and security sensitivities in the region.

Diplomatic observers emphasize that dialogue and confidence-building measures remain essential to avoid escalation and maintain regional peace.

Pakistan’s position, as reiterated by the defence minister, underscores both a readiness to respond to any perceived threat and a parallel call for regional stability and cooperation.
