According to the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the moon was approximately 357,218 kilometers away from Earth at its closest point during the supermoon. This proximity made the moon appear about 7.9 percent larger and 15 percent brighter than a regular full moon. The peak of the supermoon occurred at 4:15 a.m. local time, providing an extraordinary view for early morning skywatchers.
