ISLAMABAD(News Desk): The West Indies team is set to arrive in Islamabad on January 6, 2025, and will kick off their campaign with a three-day warm-up match against Pakistan Shaheens from January 10-12 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Following this, they will face Pakistan in back-to-back Test matches at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
First Test: January 17-21
Second Test: January 25-29
Both Tests are part of the current ICC World Test Championship cycle, providing crucial opportunities for both teams to end their campaigns on a high.
This tour marks the West Indies’ first Test series in Pakistan since November 2006, when they played a three-match series. The two teams have not met for a Test series in Pakistan since then, although their last red-ball encounter on neutral ground occurred in the UAE in October 2016. In recent years, the West Indies have made three limited-overs tours to Pakistan: a T20I series in April 2018, another T20I series in December 2021, and an ODI series in June 2022.
