According to Indian media reports, the threats arrived shortly after the blockbuster success of Ranveer Singh’s film Dharandhar. The message reportedly contained menacing content along with a demand for a large sum of money. Promptly, the couple informed local authorities, leading to immediate police intervention.
A statement from Mumbai Police confirmed that the voice note referred to Ranveer Singh’s residence in the B-W Mondy building in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Investigators have begun efforts to identify the unknown sender and assess the potential threat.
