National ( The cow news digital ) The mother of 17-year-old social media influencer Sana Yousaf has expressed deep emotional distress as the family continues to await justice nearly one year after her tragic killing.
Sana Yousaf was reportedly shot dead in June 2025 inside her home in Islamabad, a case that sparked widespread outrage across the country and raised concerns over the safety of young social media personalities.
Speaking to the media, her mother broke down while describing the emotional trauma she has been enduring since the incident. She said that she has struggled with severe depression and even attempted suicide multiple times due to the unbearable grief of losing her only daughter.
“I die every day and live every day,” she said emotionally, adding that she repeatedly thought about ending her life but stopped herself for the sake of justice for her daughter.
The grieving mother said that her only wish is to see the accused punished so that other families can feel a sense of safety and justice. She emphasized that the case should serve as an example so that such incidents do not happen again in society.
According to her, the delay in justice is due to ongoing legal proceedings, including a petition reportedly filed in the High Court by the accused, which has slowed down the trial process.
She also stated that while the court’s attitude toward her has been respectful, repeated legal delays have caused unbearable emotional strain for the family.
The mother further alleged that her daughter’s refusal to accept unwanted advances was the reason behind the attack, claiming that the accused could not tolerate rejection, which led to the fatal shooting.
The case remains under judicial process, and the family continues to demand swift legal action and strict punishment for those responsible.
