National ( The cow news digital ) Police in Sindh’s Shikarpur district carried out a successful operation in the Kacha area of Kot Shaho, rescuing a 11-year-old girl abducted from Peshawar and killing two suspected bandits during an exchange of fire.
According to a statement issued by the Sindh Police spokesperson, the rescued girl, identified as Hooram Saeed Pathan, was recovered safely during the intelligence-based operation that had been launched two days earlier in the riverine belt.
Officials confirmed that the operation targeted criminal hideouts in the Kacha region, where armed groups were believed to be operating. During the raid, two kidnappers, including a key suspect identified as Abdul Wahid alias “Mullah,” were killed in an exchange of fire with police.
Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho praised the operation and commended the officers and personnel involved. He announced cash rewards and commendation certificates for the DIG Larkana, SSP Shikarpur, and the entire police team for their performance and bravery.
Police officials stated that the operation was launched following reports of multiple kidnappings in the region. Authorities also acted on social media reports highlighting the abduction of the minor girl from Peshawar, which prompted urgent instructions for her safe recovery.
During the same operation, another kidnapped girl, identified as Jennifer Aamer Masih, who was allegedly abducted earlier from Lahore under the pretext of employment, was also recovered safely by police.
Authorities confirmed that a second suspect, Yaseen Banglani, was also killed during the encounter. Police said operations in the Kacha area were conducted with extreme caution due to the difficult terrain and presence of heavily armed criminal groups.
The IG Sindh stated that police personnel displayed courage, professionalism, and determination during the operation, successfully rescuing innocent victims while taking action against criminal elements.
He further added that operations against organized criminal networks in riverine areas will continue with full force to ensure public safety and eliminate kidnapping gangs operating in the region.
