Seventy-eight years ago, on October 30, 1947, the founding father of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, delivered a powerful and unwavering message to the nation, declaring that “no power on earth can undo Pakistan.” As the country continues to face internal and external challenges, his words remain as relevant and inspiring today as they were then.
In his historic address to the nation, Jinnah urged the people of Pakistan to fulfill their duties with dedication and to place their trust in Allah. “If we seek guidance from the Holy Quran, I assure you once again—victory will be ours,” he stated. He emphasized that the enemy’s designs could never succeed if the nation remained united and resolute.
“You are strong and no less than anyone,” Jinnah said, calling on the people to remember the glorious legacy of courage and resilience in Islamic history. “Remain true to your traditions and add another proud chapter to your national history,” he urged.
Reaffirming his commitment to the newly born state, Jinnah called upon the citizens to make a solemn pledge to sacrifice everything for Pakistan. “Keep your spirits high. Do not fear death. Our religion teaches us to always be prepared for it,” he said.
Highlighting the sanctity of the country and the faith that underpins its foundation, he asserted that Pakistanis must defend Islam and their homeland with bravery. “For a Muslim, there is no better salvation than martyrdom in the cause of a noble mission,” he declared. “We are right—and we will be victorious. Pakistan Zindabad!”
The speech, delivered during a critical juncture just months after independence, continues to serve as a rallying cry for unity, sacrifice, and faith in the face of adversity.
