Pakistan has successfully debunked yet another false allegation by India regarding the presence of terrorist training camps in Azad Kashmir. The claim was made following the Pahalgam incident, in which India accused Pakistan of operating such camps in the Balnour Shah area.
In response to these claims, international and Pakistani media outlets visited the region, located 26 kilometers from the Line of Control (LoC), to investigate the allegations. Contrary to India’s accusations, the area appeared peaceful, with daily life continuing as usual.
Local residents confirmed that they had not seen any such camps over the past 37 years, and emphasized the area’s tranquility. One local stated, “Life here is normal, and there has never been any sign of a militant camp.”
Tourists in the region also shared their observations, noting that the area was busy with daily activities. “We are here for sightseeing, and the children are attending school, while we are enjoying our time,” one visitor said.
Balnour Shah hosts both public and private educational institutions, all of which are operating normally, with no indication of any militant activity. The principal of a local school mentioned, “We have been running this school for five years, and there have been no activities other than regular classes. The environment is peaceful.”
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar condemned India’s baseless claims, calling them unfounded and childish. He reiterated that no evidence of terrorist camps had been found and emphasized that Pakistan’s peaceful stance is evident in the region.
Despite India’s accusations, Balnour Shah continues to showcase the region’s natural beauty and the vibrant, peaceful lives of its residents, further disproving India’s fabricated narrative.
This latest false allegation reflects India’s ongoing war-mongering rhetoric, which remains detached from the reality on the ground in the region.
