Pakistan has accused India of involvement in the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express in Balochistan’s Bolan district.
During a weekly briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson stated that the attack was orchestrated by terrorists operating from outside the country. He urged the Afghan government to take action against those responsible and to cooperate with Pakistan in countering terrorism.
The spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan has long been a target of cross-border terrorism, and evidence from traced calls during the attack indicated links to Afghanistan. He added that Pakistan has consistently shared such details with Afghan authorities through diplomatic channels.
He also acknowledged the condemnation of the attack by Pakistan’s international allies and reaffirmed the country’s ongoing cooperation with friendly nations in counterterrorism efforts.
Regarding reports that Pakistan is preventing the opening of the Torkham border crossing, the spokesperson clarified that Pakistan is committed to keeping the border operational but will not allow unauthorized construction by Afghan authorities within its territory.
He also dismissed allegations that USAID funds allocated for schools were being diverted to terrorism, calling them baseless.
