The Government of Pakistan has finalized medical treatment arrangements for several children suffering from heart conditions who were recently sent back from India following the abrupt cancellation of their visas.
According to the Ministry of Health spokesperson, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal directed immediate action to ensure that the affected children receive full medical care upon their return. The government will bear all expenses related to the treatment.
The children, whose surgeries were pending in India, had traveled with their family members for critical cardiac procedures. However, their visas were unexpectedly canceled by Indian authorities, forcing the family to return to Pakistan before the treatment could be completed.
In response, the Director General of Health coordinated with the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) in Rawalpindi to facilitate the necessary medical procedures. The institute has reportedly completed all preparations to begin treatment.
Health officials emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring no delay or compromise in the care of these children, who require urgent medical attention.
