Pakistan has implemented a ban on Indian-flagged vessels from entering its ports, marking a significant step in the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
According to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, the entry of Indian-flagged vessels into Pakistani ports has been immediately prohibited. Additionally, no Pakistani-flagged vessel will be allowed to dock at Indian ports.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has issued an official notification confirming this decision.
This move follows India’s earlier announcement to impose a ban on all direct and indirect imports from Pakistan. India had also declared that no Pakistani vessels would be allowed to dock at Indian ports, and no letters or parcels from Pakistan would be accepted.
The latest decision reflects escalating diplomatic and economic tensions between the two neighboring countries.
