Pakistan has extended an invitation to the United Kingdom to participate in the investigation into the Pahalgam incident.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Islamabad, where he officially invited the UK to join the probe into the incident. During the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s offer for a high-level, transparent, and impartial international investigation.
In discussions with the British High Commissioner, Prime Minister Sharif urged the UK to leverage its friendly diplomatic relations with both Pakistan and India to help improve the tense situation in the region. He emphasized that the UK should play an active role in fostering regional peace.
The Prime Minister also informed the British High Commissioner of Pakistan’s stance, rejecting any allegations linking the country to the Pahalgam incident without concrete evidence. He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s top priority remains the economic development of the nation, and the country will never take any actions that could jeopardize regional peace and security.
