Amid rising tensions with India, the Government of Pakistan has launched a diplomatic offensive to counter Indian propaganda on the global stage, securing support from Türkiye, Greece, and Sweden.
According to Express News, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the Turkish Ambassador in Islamabad to discuss the regional security situation and India’s recent narrative targeting Pakistan over the Pahalgam incident. The Prime Minister condemned India’s baseless accusations and attempts to undermine Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
He reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to allow transparent international investigations, stating that Türkiye could play a constructive role in this regard.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held telephonic conversations with the foreign ministers of Greece and Sweden, strongly rejecting India’s allegations and condemning the unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.
Dar warned that India’s actions pose a grave threat to regional peace and declared that Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty or national interests. Both Greece and Sweden expressed support for Pakistan’s position and welcomed the proposal for impartial international investigations.
In a separate development, the Ministry of Information organized a media tour of the Line of Control (LoC) to expose the false claims made by India regarding alleged terror camps. Journalists were shown areas India has previously misrepresented as militant hideouts.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace but made it clear that any act of aggression by India would receive a strong and measured response.
The government’s proactive diplomacy signals its intent to challenge India’s narrative and reinforce Pakistan’s position as a responsible state advocating for peace and stability in South Asia.
