Pakistan has categorically rejected Indian media reports alleging Pakistani airstrikes on Pathankot, Jaisalmer, and Srinagar, as well as claims that an F-16 or JF-17 fighter jet was shot down and a Pakistani pilot captured.
In an official statement, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office dismissed the claims as “baseless, politically motivated, and part of a malicious campaign to malign Pakistan without credible investigation.” The statement emphasized that India is fabricating provocations under a calculated strategy to justify its aggression and destabilize the region.
“These allegations reflect a growing trend of using disinformation for political and military gains, threatening regional peace and security,” the spokesperson said.
Pakistan urged the international community to take serious notice of India’s “reckless behavior” and called for restraint and responsibility from New Delhi. The Foreign Office warned that any aggression based on false accusations would be met with a strong and proportionate response.
“Pakistan is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the statement continued. “While we remain committed to peace, we reserve the right to respond to any provocation, threat, or misinformation.”
The spokesperson firmly denied any attacks on Indian territory, including in occupied Kashmir, and refuted claims of any Pakistani aircraft being shot down or pilots being captured by Indian forces.
