Pakistan has successfully conducted a test launch of its advanced surface-to-surface missile, Abdali, equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems and capable of precisely targeting objectives up to 450 kilometers away.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the test was aimed at validating operational preparedness and assessing technical parameters of the missile system. The training launch was carried out under the supervision of the Commander of the Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC).
ISPR confirmed that the Abdali missile, which features a modern navigation system, is a significant addition to Pakistan’s tactical missile arsenal and strengthens the country’s deterrence posture.
Senior military leadership, including the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs, congratulated the engineers and scientists on the successful test. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended their appreciation to the scientific and engineering teams for their achievement.
The military’s media wing reiterated that Pakistan has full confidence in the operational readiness and technical expertise of its strategic forces.
