In a joint press conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, issued a firm warning to India, stating that when Pakistan decides to respond militarily, “the world will hear its echo.”
The statement comes amid escalating cross-border tensions after India reportedly launched four missiles towards Amritsar last night, which, according to Pakistan, landed on Indian installations. DG ISPR accused India of orchestrating the attack on its own soil to frame Pakistan and propagate false narratives.
“India must stop living in a theatrical world and accept the reality. The so-called 15-strike claim inside Pakistan is pure fiction and propaganda. If India is truly in the 21st century, it should behave accordingly,” said Lt. Gen. Chaudhry.
Addressing recent drone activity, the DG ISPR revealed that Pakistani forces had downed 29 Indian drones, all of which are currently undergoing forensic analysis. “India thought smaller drones would escape our air defenses — we detected and neutralized them with precision. Only one drone caused minor injuries to four soldiers and limited damage to our defense systems,” he added.
He further stated that three Pakistani civilians were martyred in recent Indian drone attacks and emphasized that Pakistan is vigilantly monitoring all incoming threats. He also cast doubt on India’s air defense credibility, questioning how five Indian jets could be shot down despite being deployed at a time and location of India’s choosing.
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry concluded with a pointed remark: “When Pakistan strikes, we won’t need Indian media to tell the story — the whole world will see and hear it.”
His comments reflect the gravity of the current military standoff, calling for responsible conduct while signaling Pakistan’s readiness and restraint amidst growing regional instability.
