Pakistan’s political leadership has expressed strong unity and support for the country’s armed forces amid growing tensions with India, vowing collective resolve against any external aggression.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif jointly briefed the country’s political leaders during an in-camera session at the Pakistan Television Centre in Islamabad.
During the briefing, DG ISPR asserted that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully prepared to deliver a “crushing response” to any aggression imposed on the country. He emphasized that while Pakistan desires peace in the region, it will not tolerate any violation of its sovereignty.
The high-level security briefing focused on the current regional situation, particularly in the wake of the recent Pahalgam false flag incident. A wide range of political figures from across the spectrum attended the session, showing bipartisan solidarity.
Political attendees included PPP’s Ali Haider Gillani, former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Atiq, JUI’s Noor Alam Khan, State Ministers Talal Chaudhry, Barrister Aqeel Malik, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, and Das. Federal Ministers Mustafa Kamal, Amir Muqam, Bilal Azhar Kayani, and PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira, Shazia Marri, and Sindh’s provincial ministers Nasir Shah, Sharjeel Memon, and Saeed Ghani were also present.
DG ISPR updated the leaders on military readiness, while Minister Tarar briefed them on the government’s diplomatic strategy and Pakistan’s official stance on the current crisis.
The session concluded with a united declaration of support for the Pakistan Army and a commitment to safeguarding national security at all costs.
