Speaking to the media at Dahgal checkpoint on Adiala Road in Rawalpindi, he said that PTI maintains a strong and consistent position on national integrity and rejects any statement that may be interpreted as anti-state. He added that the children of PTI founder Imran Khan have not made any remarks against Pakistan, and the party does not endorse such positions now or in the future.

Barrister Gohar also criticized restrictions on meetings with former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, stating that access to family members has been restricted for several weeks. He said that such actions were creating unnecessary tensions and ignoring public sentiment.

He further mentioned that Bushra Bibi has been facing health-related issues, including an eye condition, and expressed concern that her family is also being denied access. According to him, these restrictions have continued for the past four weeks.

The PTI chairman emphasized that the party does not want instability or confrontation in the country. He said PTI believes in resolving political matters through dialogue and constitutional means. He added that efforts are being made to address internal and external political challenges through consultation and parliamentary engagement.

Barrister Gohar noted that PTI leadership has delegated certain political responsibilities to senior figures, including Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, to facilitate political discussions. He reiterated that political issues should be resolved politically, warning that some elements do not favor a negotiated solution.

He also referred to delays in legal proceedings involving Imran Khan, stating that appeals regarding suspended sentences have not been decided even after several months. He claimed that many Pakistanis believe the cases are politically motivated.

On parliamentary participation, he said the decision to withdraw from standing committees was taken under Imran Khan’s instructions, and any future decision on rejoining would also come from him.
