The Sindh government has launched a job portal aimed at providing employment opportunities to citizens. The portal will feature job listings from both government and private sector organisations.
The launch ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, business community leaders, and a large number of key figures.
Speaking at the event, Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasised that 65% of Pakistan’s population is youth, and the portal has been created to cater to their employment needs.
He noted that the portal allows both educated individuals and skilled workers to upload their CVs.
Memon added that the portal would not only offer government job opportunities but also connect job seekers with private sector employers.
He mentioned that many young people aspire to government jobs, but projects like the People’s Housing Scheme are also creating skilled labour opportunities for individuals.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his speech at the event, stated that today they have launched the job portal. The portal will allow the youth of the province to register. He emphasized that when opportunities and talent come together, the province will progress. He urged both job seekers and employers to register as much as possible.
He mentioned that job advertisements for grades 1 to 4 will also be posted on this portal. Jobs for grades 5 to 15 will be provided through the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), ensuring transparency in the recruitment process.
He also announced that temporary jobs will be linked with this system. Efforts will be made to promote the job portal to encourage more people to register.
Murad Ali Shah further said that, as always, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has emerged as the largest party in the province. He expressed his commitment to further serve the people of Sindh. The people of this province have faced severe difficulties due to floods.
In line with the vision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, a project for 2.1 million houses has been planned, and over 800,000 homes have already been constructed. He remarked that if the homes built for flood victims were considered as a country, it would be larger than 800 countries in the world.
