Switzerland has extended an offer to support a neutral and transparent investigation into the recent Pahalgam incident, backing Pakistan’s call for an impartial inquiry.
During a telephonic conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the Swiss Foreign Minister expressed solidarity with Pakistan’s position and emphasized the importance of an objective probe into the matter.
Both foreign ministers agreed to maintain close communication on the issue going forward.
In a separate telephonic discussion, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also spoke with his Greek counterpart. The conversation covered the evolving regional situation, India’s baseless accusations against Pakistan, and Islamabad’s serious concerns over New Delhi’s reported move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.
The two leaders agreed to continue close coordination on these matters at the United Nations and other international platforms.
