LONDON – Vandals targeted the Pakistani High Commission building in London, smashing windows and throwing red paint on the premises in a troubling act of aggression.
According to diplomatic sources, the High Commission has officially informed the Metropolitan Police, who have since launched an investigation into the incident and are actively searching for those responsible.
The attack follows a protest held by Indian demonstrators outside the Pakistani High Commission on Friday evening. During the protest, some individuals reportedly engaged in offensive behavior, prompting police intervention. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that two Indian nationals were taken into custody for their actions.
The latest developments come amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly after a shooting incident on April 22 in the tourist town of Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir, which has further strained bilateral relations.
Authorities are treating the attack as a serious security breach, and investigations are ongoing.
