Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its sovereignty, stating that the nation was built on countless sacrifices, and its defense remains a top priority.
Addressing the passing out parade at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, the army chief emphasized the ideological foundation of the country, rooted in the Two-Nation Theory. “Muslims differ from Hindus in every aspect of life — religion, traditions, culture, aspirations — and this distinction formed the very basis of the Two-Nation Theory,” he said.
General Munir paid tribute to the founding generations, acknowledging their unparalleled sacrifices and relentless struggle for the creation of Pakistan. “Our forefathers endured immense hardships for this nation. We know how to protect what they gave their lives for,” he asserted.
The army chief’s remarks came amid heightened regional tensions, reinforcing the military’s commitment to national security and the ideological identity of the country.
