After winning the toss, Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi opted to field first. Bangladesh took advantage of the batting-friendly conditions and posted a competitive total of 290 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
Opening batter Tanzid Hasan was the standout performer for Bangladesh, scoring an impressive 107 runs to anchor the innings. Litton Das contributed 41 runs, while Saif Hassan added 36 and Najmul Hossain Shanto chipped in with 27 runs. Towhid Hridoy also played a crucial role by scoring an unbeaten 44, helping the hosts reach a strong total.
For Pakistan, fast bowler Haris Rauf was the most successful with the ball, claiming three wickets. Afridi and Abrar Ahmed picked up one wicket each during the innings.
Chasing a target of 291, Pakistan’s batting lineup struggled to maintain the required momentum despite a determined effort. Several batters got decent starts but failed to convert them into substantial innings.
Middle-order batter Salman Ali Agha played a remarkable knock, scoring a century and keeping Pakistan’s hopes alive deep into the chase. His responsible batting brought the team close to the target and briefly shifted the pressure back onto the Bangladeshi bowlers.

However, Pakistan ultimately fell short of the target and were bowled out for 279 runs, handing Bangladesh an 11-run victory in the series decider.
