In a statement issued from Gaza, Hamas said that Israeli attacks have continued despite the existence of a ceasefire understanding, calling the ongoing military actions “brutal” and a clear violation of agreements brokered by international mediators. The group warned that persistent strikes are eroding trust and pushing the situation toward further escalation.
Hamas also accused the United States and other mediating countries of failing to restrain Israel, urging them to take concrete steps to stop ceasefire violations. According to the statement, mediation efforts have lost credibility on the ground as Israeli operations continue without interruption, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
The remarks come amid renewed diplomatic activity related to Gaza. Earlier, US media reported that invitations had been sent to members for a scheduled meeting in Washington linked to the so-called Gaza Peace Board. The meeting is expected to be hosted by US President Donald Trump along with board members and representatives of the Gaza Executive Committee. President Trump currently serves as chairman of the Gaza Board of Peace.
