National ( The cow news digital ) Pakistani actor Yashma Gill has revealed that she once moved away from religious belief but later returned to faith after a period of personal reflection and research.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Yashma Gill shared that she had previously questioned several spiritual concepts, including fate and free will. She said she once posed a question to religious scholar Zakir Naik regarding whether human beings truly have free will if destiny is already written.
According to her recollection, she had asked how human choice exists within the framework of divine predestination. The explanation she referred to suggested that while God has foreknowledge of human decisions, individuals still make their own choices.
In her latest remarks, Yashma Gill explained her personal understanding of the concept, stating that life presents multiple paths every day, and individuals choose one based on their will, while the outcomes may already be predetermined.
She further said that a strong connection with faith plays a key role in guiding decisions, adding that spiritual practices such as prayer and remembrance help provide clarity in making choices.
The actor also compared faith to a radio signal, explaining that just as clear audio is received when a device is tuned to the correct frequency, spiritual clarity is achieved through consistent religious practice and inner focus.
