World ( The cow news digital ) Mohammad Sohail Afridi, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasized the importance of measurable results from the government’s multi-billion rupee investment in youth welfare and development programs. The statement was made during a meeting of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), which he chaired in Peshawar.
The session reviewed ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering young people with skills aligned with market demand and enhancing employment opportunities. Sohail Afridi highlighted the need to prioritize skill development and effective implementation of the Skills Development and Employment Promotion Program, ensuring that investments translate into tangible outcomes.
Officials at the meeting reported that TEVTA’s current programs are designed to produce long-term impacts, but achieving these goals requires a solid strategic approach. The Chief Minister also announced that a detailed session on the Rural Economic Transformation Project will be held immediately after Eid to assess progress and refine strategies.
Under the Rural Economic Transformation Project, approximately 42,000 youth are being provided with an average start-up grant of PKR 73,000 per person. The initiative aims to enable young entrepreneurs to launch their business ventures, create employment, and contribute meaningfully to the provincial economy.
Sohail Afridi stressed that while significant funding has been allocated, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms must be strengthened to ensure accountability and real-world results. He directed TEVTA officials to enhance program outreach, track outcomes rigorously, and identify areas for improvement.

The Chief Minister also noted that equipping young people with relevant skills not only supports individual career growth but also contributes to broader economic development and stability in the province. Analysts say that KP’s youth-focused programs could serve as a model for other provinces if effectively implemented and monitored. With strategic oversight, the initiatives are expected to create a new generation of skilled professionals and entrepreneurs capable of driving economic transformation in the region.
