Islamabad( The COW News Digital )Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned that Qatar feels deceived in the aftermath of recent attacks on its territory and believes the conflict could extend beyond Palestine. Speaking on Geo News’ program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath, Asif emphasized that the ongoing situation has raised serious concerns across the Arab world about U.S. priorities in the region.

During a meeting with the Emir of Qatar alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Asif highlighted that U.S. President Donald Trump’s displeasure over recent events is insufficient to address the broader regional concerns. “The Arab nations, including Qatar, are increasingly realizing that America’s first and foremost priority remains Israel,” he stated.

Asif added that the sentiment in Qatar and across the Arab world is one of betrayal. “There is a strong feeling that the issue will no longer be confined to Palestine but may escalate further, requiring the Muslim Ummah to take action,” he remarked.

The Pakistani defense minister also commented on the political dynamics in Israel, suggesting that if peace were to be restored in the region, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not be able to sustain power for even a single day. “As long as the war continues, Netanyahu’s tenure continues. The ongoing conflict directly sustains his political authority,” Asif explained.

Analysts note that Asif’s comments reflect growing regional frustration over perceived U.S. bias toward Israel and the increasing concern among Arab nations regarding security and sovereignty. Qatar’s experience of recent attacks, conducted during its mediation efforts in Gaza, has intensified these sentiments.

Asif’s remarks underscore the broader geopolitical implications of the conflict, highlighting that the repercussions of military actions in the Middle East extend well beyond immediate borders. The defense minister stressed the importance of unity among Muslim countries to address the humanitarian and political challenges arising from the ongoing conflict.

The meeting between Pakistani officials and the Qatari leadership reinforced Pakistan’s stance of solidarity with Arab nations facing aggression. Observers believe that such diplomatic engagements are critical in ensuring regional stability and strengthening collective responses to international conflicts affecting the Muslim world.
