Pakistan Likely to Launch 5G Service Before Eid al-Fitr

Pakistan ( The cow news digital ) Pakistan is on the verge of launching 5G mobile service, with telecom operators expected to roll out the service before Eid al-Fitr, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has reportedly accelerated preparations for issuing 5G licenses following the recent spectrum auction. Officials have finalized the licensing framework, putting telecom companies in a position to start offering 5G services as early as the festive period.

Telecom operators have been instructed to complete all regulatory requirements to qualify for the 5G licenses. This includes submitting a bank guarantee of $15 million prior to the issuance. One company has already submitted the required guarantee, while two other companies are expected to follow suit shortly.

Sources indicate that the PTA is considering issuing licenses to all three telecom operators simultaneously to ensure that the 5G rollout can begin immediately once approvals are granted. The regulatory authority is reportedly exploring hosting a formal license issuance ceremony at its headquarters to mark the launch.
