US, Iran Delegations Arrive in Pakistan for Talks

Islamabad ( The cow news digital ) High-level delegations from the United States and Iran are expected to arrive in Pakistan as diplomatic efforts intensify to address ongoing regional tensions.

According to sources, U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance is scheduled to land in Pakistan later tonight as part of a key diplomatic mission. He will be accompanied by senior officials, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are expected to participate in negotiations with Iranian representatives.

Sources indicate that a 23-member advance team from the United States has already arrived in Islamabad to facilitate preparations for the talks. The delegation reportedly includes security experts and technical staff tasked with ensuring smooth coordination during the discussions.

On the Iranian side, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi are also expected to arrive in Islamabad late tonight. Their visit signals Tehran’s willingness to engage in dialogue amid heightened tensions in the region.

Earlier, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump had approved sending a negotiation team to Pakistan for talks with Iran. The discussions are expected to begin on Saturday morning in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has also informed Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about Tehran’s participation in the negotiations.

Diplomatic observers view Pakistan’s role as a host and facilitator as increasingly significant, especially following its involvement in recent efforts to reduce tensions between Washington and Tehran. The upcoming talks are being closely watched, as they may pave the way for further de-escalation and a possible long-term agreement.

Security arrangements in Islamabad have reportedly been tightened ahead of the arrival of the delegations, reflecting the importance and sensitivity of the discussions.
