Islamabad – (The Cow new digital)  Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is expected to return to Islamabad this evening amid ongoing diplomatic developments linked to talks involving the United States, according to diplomatic sources.

Sources familiar with the matter said that the Iranian foreign minister will once again hold bilateral meetings with Pakistan’s top political leadership upon his return. The visit is being seen as part of continued high-level diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries.

According to details, Abbas Araghchi had earlier departed Islamabad for Muscat after holding separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir. During those meetings, matters related to regional stability, bilateral cooperation, and evolving geopolitical developments were discussed.

However, diplomatic sources now confirm that the Iranian foreign minister will not proceed directly to Moscow as previously planned. Instead, he will return to Islamabad for further consultations before continuing his scheduled visit to Russia.

Officials have not publicly disclosed the detailed agenda of the renewed meetings, but observers suggest that the discussions may focus on regional security dynamics and diplomatic coordination amid ongoing international engagements involving Iran.

The unexpected change in travel plans highlights the fluid nature of current regional diplomacy, where back-to-back meetings and rapid consultations have become increasingly common among key stakeholders.

Pakistan continues to play a facilitative role in regional diplomatic communication, maintaining open channels with multiple countries involved in current geopolitical discussions.

Further details regarding the Iranian foreign minister’s meetings in Islamabad are expected to be released after official engagements conclude.
