National ( The cow news digital ) Pakistani security forces successfully thwarted a major terrorist attack targeting a security post in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating four militant insurgents, including a suicide bomber, during the engagement.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants associated with the foreign-backed Fitna-al-Khawarij attempted to storm the security post using an explosive-laden vehicle. Alert troops deployed at the installation effectively intercepted the vehicle before it could breach the perimeter wall, neutralizing the threat outside the post premises.

The explosion destroyed the vehicle and killed the suicide driver instantly, preventing any casualties or structural damage to the facility. Following the initial blast, three remaining insurgents attempted to take cover in a nearby structure. Security forces immediately cordoned off the location and launched a clearance operation, successfully neutralizing all three hiding militants.

No casualties were sustained by security personnel during the tactical response. A comprehensive search and clearance operation remains underway in the surrounding area to eliminate any remaining threats or potential facilitators.

The ISPR reiterated that counter-terrorism operations under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”—approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan—will continue at full force until foreign-sponsored terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.
