World ( The cow news digital ) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has rejected accusations surrounding a recent drone attack on two vessels at an Egyptian port, labeling the incident an Israeli “false flag operation” aimed at undermining regional stability and Muslim unity.
Writing on social media platform X, Araghchi affirmed that Iran considers Egypt a key regional partner and friend, emphasizing that Egyptian security remains a high priority for Tehran. He urged regional nations to remain vigilant against potential external provocations intended to sabotage peace and cause division.
The statement followed reports of a drone strike targeting ships at Egypt’s Damietta port, which triggered fires on two vessels. A British maritime security firm claimed that an American gas storage tanker was among the vessels hit during the attack.
In response, Egypt’s Ministry of Information dismissed media reports alleging that Cairo had blamed Iran for the port strikes, categorizing those reports as entirely unfounded.
