ISLAMABAD(The COW News Digital) The federal government has begun practical steps to implement the Cyber Security Framework 2026, with the formation of a Federal Cyber Emergency Response Team (Federal CERT) now underway.
The new team will operate under the supervision of the National CERT and will be responsible for strengthening cybersecurity coordination and response capabilities across federal government institutions.
According to details reported by local media, the Federal CERT will monitor cyber threats, identify potential and ongoing cyberattacks, and coordinate rapid responses to incidents targeting government systems and digital infrastructure.
The team will also provide cybersecurity protection and response services to federal institutions, with the aim of improving their ability to detect, contain and respond to cyber threats.
