Action Against Illegal LPG Filling, 2 Shops Sealed in Peshawar

Peshawar (City Reporter) – In compliance with provincial government directives, the Assistant Commissioner (City) carried out an operation to ensure public safety by targeting illegal LPG filling practices on GT Road. During the crackdown, two shops were immediately sealed, while three Hiace vans, used for public transport, were confiscated for illegally transporting LPG. Additionally, five individuals were booked under FIRs and sent to jail on judicial remand. These individuals face charges of endangering public lives and violating the law.

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Sarmad Saleem Akram, emphasized that public safety is the top priority of the administration and that a zero-tolerance policy is being enforced against illegal activities. He stated that the unlawful use of hazardous materials like LPG not only violates the law but also poses a severe risk to human life. The district administration has urged the public to comply with the law and cooperate in eliminating illegal activities. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the control room or relevant authorities for prompt action.
