LAHORE (The COW News Digital) The Lahore court has extended the interim bail of Aroob Jatoi, wife of popular YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, known as “Ducky Bhai,” in a case related to the promotion of an illegal online gambling application.

According to court proceedings, Aroob Jatoi appeared before the judge as her previous bail period had expired. After reviewing the request, the court extended her interim bail until November 6 and directed the investigating officer to submit a detailed progress report on the case during the next hearing.

The case stems from allegations that several Pakistani social media influencers and YouTubers, including Ducky Bhai and his wife, promoted an unauthorized online betting app. Authorities claim the app was linked to widespread financial fraud that caused monetary losses to citizens across the country.

Law enforcement agencies initiated an inquiry earlier this year following complaints that the app lured users with the promise of quick earnings through digital games and lotteries. However, many users later reported being defrauded, prompting cybercrime units to trace and investigate those involved in its online promotion.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is examining evidence related to financial transactions, social media posts, and advertising campaigns allegedly connected to the app’s marketing. Authorities are also investigating whether the influencers received payments or commissions for promoting the platform.

Aroob Jatoi’s legal counsel argued that her client had no direct involvement in the gambling operation and that her name was being dragged into the controversy due to her social media presence and connection with her husband. The defense requested additional time to respond to the prosecution’s evidence.

The court’s directive to the investigating officer emphasized the need for a comprehensive report, including any forensic and digital evidence linking the accused to the promotion of the app.

The case has sparked debate across Pakistan’s digital community about influencer responsibility, online ethics, and the growing misuse of social media platforms for unregulated financial promotions.

Further proceedings are expected after the FIA submits its investigation report in the next hearing scheduled for early November.
