Medical experts warn that energy drinks contain high levels of sugar and caffeine, which can lead to severe health complications with prolonged consumption. A typical 500ml can contains roughly 40 grams of sugar, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advises adults to avoid exceeding 400 milligrams of caffeine per day.

Artem’s case highlights the hidden dangers of excessive energy drink consumption, particularly among young people engaged in prolonged gaming sessions. Specialists stress that the combination of high caffeine intake, sugar overload, and lack of proper nutrition can cause irreversible damage to vital organs and the nervous system.

Health authorities urge teenagers and young adults to monitor their energy drink consumption, maintain a balanced diet, and prioritize regular exercise. Artem’s mother emphasized that the devastating outcome could have been prevented with moderation and awareness of the risks associated with these beverages.
