Gaza (The COW News Digital)Nearly two years of relentless Israeli military operations have turned the Gaza Strip into a devastated war zone, with the Palestinian death toll now surpassing 62,000, according to local health authorities. The campaign, marked by airstrikes, heavy artillery, drone attacks, and an enforced blockade that has triggered famine-like conditions, continues to exact a heavy civilian toll.

Residential neighborhoods across Gaza have been reduced to rubble, and even those searching for food or aid are increasingly being targeted. Fresh Israeli strikes once again pounded Gaza City, one of the most heavily bombarded and nearly destroyed areas of the enclave.

Latest reports confirm that at least 30 Palestinians were killed on Monday alone, 14 of whom died while attempting to collect humanitarian aid. Witnesses say the victims were standing in food distribution queues when they came under fire.

According to Gulf media, three Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Al-Sabra during Israeli shelling. Among the victims was Islam al-Koumi, a well-known Palestinian journalist, whose death has sparked outrage among media and human rights groups.

Field reports from Deir al-Balah described ongoing, unrelenting bombardment in the eastern districts of Gaza City. Tareq Abu Azzoum, a correspondent for Gulf media, reported that the intensity of Israeli strikes suggests a deliberate attempt to alter the region’s geographic and demographic structure.

Human rights organizations have condemned the continuous attacks, calling them systematic war crimes, as the majority of victims include women, children, and other civilians. Local officials warn that the rising death toll does not reflect the full scale of devastation, with thousands still trapped under collapsed buildings or unaccounted for due to restricted humanitarian access.

The Israeli military has intensified its push into Gaza City, reportedly aiming to establish control while forcibly displacing thousands of civilians to southern districts. Observers argue this is part of a broader strategy to permanently alter Gaza’s demographic composition.

Despite mounting international concern, calls for a ceasefire have failed to gain traction. For residents of Gaza, survival has become an everyday struggle. “We are running out of food, out of medicine, and out of places to hide,” one displaced resident said. “Every day feels like the end.”
