World ( The cow news digital ) A Brazilian woman has been sentenced to one year in prison after repeatedly stalking and harassing Jungkook, a member of the globally popular K-pop group BTS, by visiting his residence multiple times and ignoring repeated police warnings.
According to foreign news agency reports, the unnamed woman was found guilty of repeatedly violating restrictions and approaching the singer’s home despite being ordered to stay away. Authorities said her actions included persistent attempts to intrude on his private space and causing repeated disturbances at his residence.
The incident reportedly began in December last year when the woman first followed a food delivery driver to Jungkook’s home. She allegedly attempted to enter the property and disrupted the area by leaving photographs and handwritten letters. On December 13, she escalated her behavior by ringing the doorbell approximately 133 times, which led to her initial arrest.
Police released her the following day with a strict warning not to approach the singer or his residence again. However, officials stated that she ignored these instructions and continued to return to the property multiple times despite repeated interventions by law enforcement.
Authorities further reported that the woman visited Jungkook’s residence around 22 times in total, demonstrating a pattern of persistent harassment and disregard for legal warnings. After continued violations, the case was forwarded to prosecutors in February for formal legal proceedings.
During the trial, the court was presented with evidence of repeated trespassing attempts and violations of police orders. The judge ruled that the defendant had willfully ignored legal instructions and continued stalking behavior despite clear warnings.
The court subsequently sentenced her to one year in prison for repeated harassment and failure to comply with law enforcement directives. Officials also noted that if her appeal is unsuccessful, she could face deportation from South Korea following the completion of her sentence.
