Tehran(The COW News Digital) Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has accused the United States of carrying out continued military strikes in an attempt to recover from what it described as a battlefield setback, while asserting that Iranian forces have responded with force and maintain full control over the Strait of Hormuz.
The remarks were made by Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, Deputy Commander for Political Affairs of the IRGC, in a statement carried by Iranian media. His comments have not been independently verified.
According to Javani, attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, and other regional locations caused significant damage. He claimed that Iran’s military operations would continue and that Tehran would not retreat from its strategic objectives despite ongoing tensions.
The IRGC official alleged that Washington is attempting to restore the military and political conditions that existed before the current conflict, particularly in relation to the Strait of Hormuz. However, he asserted that such efforts would fail, arguing that the regional balance of power has shifted in Iran’s favor.
Javani also claimed that Iran has established complete control over the strategically important waterway, one of the world’s busiest energy shipping routes. He further accused the United States of using military pressure and naval operations to challenge what he described as Iran’s new regulations in the Strait of Hormuz.
In his statement, the IRGC commander said Iranian armed forces had delivered what he called a “decisive response” to attacks on both military and civilian targets. He alleged that any strike resulting in casualties among Iranian military personnel or civilians had been met with retaliation.
Javani further claimed that Iranian forces had targeted U.S. military positions across several countries in the region, including Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and Oman, during previous and recent periods of heightened tensions. These claims have not been independently confirmed by international sources or the United States.
The latest remarks come amid continued regional tensions involving Iran and the United States, with concerns growing over the security of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime corridor through which a significant share of the world’s oil exports passes.
Neither the U.S. Department of Defense nor American officials have immediately responded to the latest claims made by the IRGC. Independent verification of battlefield claims from either side remains difficult during periods of active conflict, and analysts continue to monitor developments closely as the situation evolves across the region.
