Karachi (The COW News Digital)The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs14.73 per kilogram, raising the new rate to Rs294.73 per kilogram with effect from November 1, 2026.
According to the latest notification issued by OGRA, the increase will directly affect household consumers who rely on LPG for their daily cooking and other domestic needs.
Following the latest adjustment, the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has increased by Rs173.86, taking its price from Rs3,296 to Rs3,470.
The revised rates will officially come into force on November 1, 2026, according to the regulatory authority’s notification.
The increase is expected to add to household expenses, particularly for families that depend on LPG instead of piped natural gas.
OGRA attributed the latest price adjustment to a 6.47 percent increase in the Saudi Aramco contract price, a key international benchmark used in determining LPG rates in Pakistan.
The authority has formally issued the notification outlining the revised prices for November.
LPG is widely used across Pakistan, especially in areas where natural gas connections are unavailable or supply remains limited. Any increase in its price can have a direct impact on domestic consumers, small businesses and commercial users.
With the new rates taking effect from November 1, consumers will have to pay higher prices for both LPG refills and domestic cylinders.
The latest adjustment comes as households continue to face pressure from rising living costs and increasing energy expenses.
