National ( The cow news digital ) Mobile phone users in Pakistan are facing higher expenses as cellular operators have implemented a significant price increase on various call and data packages following formal approval from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
According to official details, prices for mobile packages have surged by 19% to 33% on an annual basis. Monthly call and data bundles registered the steepest increase, rising by up to Rs 500. Similarly, 15-day call and internet packages saw price revisions of up to Rs 300, while weekly hybrid bundles experienced an increase of up to Rs 130.
“Following regulatory approval, updated tariff sheets covering 15 top hybrid and data-only bundles have been published on the official PTA portal,” official documents confirmed.
Short-term offers were also affected by the tariff adjustment. Three-day mobile packages increased by up to Rs 21, two-day options went up by Rs 20, and daily hybrid plans rose by Rs 5.
The telecom regulator’s newly released tariff sheets detail updated package rates, quarterly trends, validity periods, and available incentives across all active mobile networks in the country.
