South Korea(The COW News Digital)South Korea has officially declared that it will not provide military support or deploy resources to assist the United States in the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Addressing reporters, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung confirmed that Seoul will refrain from dispatching troops or military assets to the region. However, President Lee highlighted that South Korea is actively working to facilitate a high-level diplomatic summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Emphasizing the importance of dialogue, President Lee stated that President Trump has expressed interest in renewed negotiations with Pyongyang. While acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the outcome, the South Korean leader stressed that Seoul must exhaust all diplomatic avenues to turn the proposed summit into a reality. He further urged the U.S. administration to remain engaged in direct talks to foster stability on the Korean Peninsula.
