Speaking to journalists in Manila during a summit with Southeast Asian representatives, Rubio noted that Washington prioritizes diplomatic avenues, but claimed Tehran is currently showing a lack of seriousness toward constructive negotiations.
“If they are serious, we are serious,” Rubio affirmed. “However, if they are not, we will take all necessary actions to protect our national interests and safeguard our allies.”
