The incident caused panic in the surrounding locality as law enforcement and rescue teams rushed to the scene within minutes.

According to initial reports, the blast took place at the entrance gate of the imambargah, where several individuals were present at the time. Police officials confirmed that a number of people sustained injuries, some of whom were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The exact number of injured is still being verified, while authorities continue to assess the situation.

Following the explosion, Islamabad Police sealed off the area and launched a security operation. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad ordered heightened security measures across the city, while emergency protocols were enforced. Rescue officials confirmed that ambulances transported the injured to Polyclinic Hospital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), and CDA Hospital.

Hospital sources stated that emergency was declared at Polyclinic, PIMS, and CDA Hospital to handle the influx of injured victims. Key departments, including emergency wards, orthopaedic units, burn centers, and neurology departments, were placed on high alert to ensure immediate medical care. Doctors confirmed that several injured individuals are undergoing treatment, while others are reported to be in stable condition.

The district administration of Islamabad confirmed that at least 10 injured persons were shifted to PIMS Hospital, with more victims being transported to other medical facilities as a precautionary measure. Authorities emphasized that all necessary medical resources have been mobilized to provide timely treatment.

Police sources said the Bomb Disposal Squad has begun a detailed investigation to determine the nature of the blast. Initial findings have not yet confirmed whether the explosion was caused by an explosive device or another source. Forensic teams are collecting evidence from the site, while CCTV footage from nearby areas is also being reviewed.

A spokesperson for the Islamabad district administration stated that the blast site has been completely sealed to prevent unauthorized access and to facilitate a thorough investigation. Security forces remain deployed in the area, and residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary movement.

Officials assured the public that all possible measures are being taken to maintain law and order and to identify those responsible for the incident. Further details are expected to emerge as investigations continue.
